Return & Refund Policy

Are Maia Botanicals packaging materials compostable?

Our commitment to your wellness and our planet doesn't end when the bottles are filled. We intentionally continue our commitment throughout our entire lifecycle infrastructure. We rejected single-use plastic anywhere we could do so reasonably. We ship our premium blends in highly recyclable frosted glass botanica bottles. They are packed in recyclable corrugated boxes with kraft packing paper.

Furthermore, our upcoming Solstice Circle Refill Program will allow you to indefinitely retain your premium frosted glass and bamboo hardware with near zero waste and a lower-transportation footprint by purchasing one of our 8 oz aluminum refill pouches.

Product & PERFORMANCE

Common questions regarding our botanical sourcing, artisanal small-batch processes, and ingredient integrity.

Are your botanical ingredients ethically harvested?

Yes. Every botanical fraction and carrier matrix we use is sustainably sourced, cruelty-free, and ethically harvested under fair-trade standards. We completely reject petroleum-derived synthetics and cheap chemical shortcuts. Instead, we use zero-waste upcycled citrus peels and eco-certified extraction methods to pull our plant musks without creating toxic waste.

Our Solstice Circular design directly supports small-scale family farming communities while ensuring our products leave a minimal footprint on our environment.

What does no added water mean?

Standard linen & room mists are up to 90% tap water. Because oil and water don't mix, those brands are forced to utilize sticky, chemical stabilizers to bind the oil and water. When tap water is added, they are also required to utilize a preservative to prevent mold and bacteria from growing. Maia Botanicals has cut out the water filler completely, giving you a hyper-concentrated botanical blend that is cleaner, lasts longer, and naturally more potent.

Will Maia Botanicals Linen & Room Spray stain my sheets or delicate fabrics?

No. Our formulas contain zero water weight and zero synthetic chemical dyes. The spray will flash-dry off your fabrics in 15 seconds.  This guarantees zero damp spots, zero fabric rings, and zero yellowing on fabrics.

Maia Botanicals will not assume any responsibility for damage to your textiles or linens. It is the responsibility of the customer to perform a patch test on your fabrics before regular use.

We always recommend performing a patch test before using on or around your textiles. Use on or around leather or suede is not recommended.

How long does the scent last?

Hours and hours, not minutes. A single spray delivers 3 times the aromatic strength of traditional sprays. We anchor our formulas with premium, plant-based oils and isolates.

Can I use Maia Botanicals Linen & Room Spray on upholstery, couches, heavy rugs, curtains, and car interiors?

Yes. Since our spray dries instantly without leaving a sticky or wet residue, it is the ultimate way to refresh any of your fabrics.

INGREDIENT SAFETY & TRANSPARENCY PLEDGE

Are your ingredients safe for homes with asthma, allergies, or breathing sensitivities?

While natural, essential oils contain complex botanical compounds that can still act as airway irritants or trigger environmental allergies in sensitive individuals. "Natural" does not always mean irritation-free, so we always advise starting with a very light spray to gauge your household's sensitivity.

Because our sprays utilize a high-proof alcohol base and natural essential oils, they release strong, concentrated aromas as they dry. To ensure everyone’s comfort, we recommend the following precautions:

  • Ventilate: Spray your rooms or linens while the sensitive individual is out of the room, allowing the initial vapors to completely clear before they re-enter.

  • Target Fabrics: Spray directly onto linens or rugs rather than misting the open air. This allows the fabric fibers to lock in the scent and keeps fewer droplets floating in your breathing zone.

  • Test First: Use the complimentary sample scent strip included with your order to test the aroma safely before misting an entire room.

Are Maia Botanicals products safe to use around children and pets?

Yes, but with strict safety precautions. Children and pets have highly sensitive respiratory systems, and pets (especially cats and dogs) cannot process essential oils the way humans do. And there's no way to predict how children or pets will react to the active plant ingredients in our products.

To keep your little ones and furry friends safe, always follow these rules:

  • The "Clear the Room" Rule: Move children and pets out of the area before spraying.

  • Ventilate: Allow the spray to settle and the alcohol base to completely evaporate (about 15–30 minutes) before letting them re-enter the room.

  • Target High Fabrics: Spray high-up linens, curtains, or rugs rather than misting the open air. Never spray pet bedding, crates, toys, or clothing.

  • Store Safely: Our sprays smell incredible, but they are handcrafted with 200-proof alcohol and concentrated botanicals. Always store bottles completely out of reach of children and pets to prevent accidental ingestion or eye contact.

  • Note: Certain essential oils are universally toxic to domestic animals. If you have specific concerns regarding your pet's health, please consult your veterinarian before use.

Does Maia Botanicals use any synthetic fragrances or artificial preservatives?

We avoid artificial scents, whenever possible, that can disrupt respiratory health, opting instead for pure, therapeutic-grade botanical extracts and essential oils.

Our ISO E Super and Vanillin crystals are categorized as 'Clean Synthetics'. They offer lower levels of natural allergens found in their essential oil counter parts, they are ecologically sustainable, and offer clean, structural longevity for our sprays.

What is Bergamot FCF and how is it different from regular citrus oils?

Standard Bergamot contains natural molecules called furocoumarins or bergapten, which can blister or stain when exposed to sunlight. The FCF we source have had the sun-sensitizing molecules removed to guarantee safety.
